Why will my PAT chart not open?

Identify the PAT source and version before converting, since renaming does not change the format.

What to check

  1. Identify the source and version: PCStitch and Pattern Creator PAT are not interchangeable.
  2. Browser: limited PCStitch 5–7 only, excluding 8–11 and Pattern Creator; try app preview or the source program.
  3. Keep the original; do not rename PAT to OXS or ignore unsupported-stitch warnings.

Check your file: unsupported means a reader limit, not proof of corruption.
